06 March The Oscars!ahh the oscars! usually boring, but last night was reallly good! Jon Stewart kicked ass as the host... besides that... the oscars were the same usual boring show. Why do we need to see who does sound mixing? i mean, the reason why everyone sees this shit is so that we can see the stars! sigh.. rambling.. k i'm gonna stop. 26 February amazing debate between me and meWhat a useless weekend. Friday night I was all pumped, wanting to work all weekend, and get a million things done. Its 4pm on a sunday, and I've managed to accomplish nothing. This morning I had some serious case of debilitation (definition: serious weakening and loss of energy). I couldnt walk, my legs were shaking, I couldnt get my breath, and all for doing what? Cleaning the bathtub for all of 5 minutes! This is like some sort of calling "I must exercise", adding to it "regularly!".
I have a headache, my eyes hurt, and if I lay in bed for another hour I'll probably blend right into it (ever feel pain from laying in bed too long??). Am I the only one that needs to mentally prepare oneselves to accomplish a task? I wanted to work, no, I WANT to work, I should work, but actually doing something about it is quite different. I've been trying for the past 2 hours to concentrate on a simple task, but no, my mind just wanders off into space thinking and debating with itself:
... ok, cant concentrate, lets just read this weblog for a bit, distract myself to tackle the issue after I've wandered enough...oh damn, no, that method is not working. ...maybe I should take an advil and take a nap, i'll be rested, then I can work... [nagging uncounsious: but you woke up at 11am!, me: but i went to bed at 5:30am!!. uncounsious: you were in bed non-stop since friday night- you barely moved!. me: but i'm tired, and i feel sleepy!. uncounsious: then do some exercises, feels good!. me: i know, but its sunday, I'll start tomorrow... uncounsious: you know your not gonna start tomorrow! who're you kidding?!? me: i know i know...i'll bother about it tomorrow... uncounsious: sigh... {fading into the back of my mind}] k no use debating it. i'm taking an advil and napping for a bit.
edit 5:47pm. k, couldnt nap, there are people over... So its now almost 6pm on a sunday, and still nothing acomplished. Gonna take that much wanted nap a now. Headache getting worst.
Tis gonna be a tough week... lots to do... oh well, at least I'll feel useful and rested... Disfruten! 17 October TIG Open House - TIG Casa AbiertaI've added like 40 pics from the TIG Open House 05. TIG is where I work (TakingITGlobal.org) They had an open house on thursday, inviting anyone that is interested and/or wants to find out more about the organization, the website or the staff. It took place in Downtown Toronto, in TIG Headquaters/Offices. Monte como 40 fotos mas de la 'Casa Abierta TIG 05'. TIG es donde yo trabajo (TakingITGlobal.org) El evento fue organizado por nosotros para los miembros o personas interesadas en saber que hacemos, o como usar la pagina web. El evento se llevo a cabo en la oficina de TIG en el centro deToronto. 30 August cabana en el lago...La cabana en el lago wishiwishgagamog (o algo asi). Nos fuimos el viernes en la manana (como 3 horas retrasados), en 3 carros, todos relacionados de una manera u otra a TakingITGlobal (la organizacion en la q yo trabajo). Eramos 11 en total, armados con un seadoo, wakeboard, comida, bastante de tomar, y hasta sweaters porq iva a llover. Y pasamos 3 dias relajados sentados en el muelle, o esquiando, o sentados hablando estupideces. Y de repente hacia calor horrible, y de repente se ponia friisimo!. Cocinando panquecas con cambur, smoothies de pina colada con fresas y malibu... en una licuadora q compre (25 dolares de remate!) q se hecho a perder al final del fin de semana, jaja...
Y bueno, esa fue nuestra mini vacaciones del verano.. :) 11 July bday!!! - cumpleanos!!!EN vista de que era mi cumpleanos y el cumpleanos de otras 3 personas que trabajan conmigo, decidimos hacer celebraciones al mismo tiempo. El viernes, nos reunimos en el salon de fiesta de mi edificio casi todos mis companeros de trabajo mas unos amigos mios venezolanos. La fiesta fue un exito!!!
Habia comida suficiente para alimentar la isla de margarita! Hamburguesas, ensaladas, 4 tortas, etc... y alcohol para suplementar la misma cantidad de gente o mas. Cada uno de los invitados trajo algo de comer, o alguna parte necesaria para la fiesta, osea cada quien aporto. Fue una vaca grandisima. En total aparecieron como 25 personas...no mucho la verdad, pero fue un grupo super diverso. Habian venezolanos, ecuatorianos, rusos, alemanes, canadienses, gente de sri lanka, benin, congo, y ukrain, gente con decendencia italina , peruana... uff... q te puedo decir.. las 4 esquinas del mundo bien represntadas.
Se armo un desastre bien sabroso cuando pusimos salsa, del grupo nadamas 3 sabian bailar (no me incluyo... :) ) y todos intentaron aprender, mas de uno invento su propio baile, jaja.. por ejemplo el chamo con la camisa vinotinto, andrew... fue el centro de la fiesta con sus loqueras. La pasamos divino!
Y bueno, ahi monte como 50 fotos. Pondre mas dentro de poco... 17 May fotos/picsMonte las fotos del apt y unas mias con mi ipod shuffle.. (Album: New Apt, and Todd y Yo) 16 May ikea trip! /viaje pa ikeaIkea is the best shopping place in the world! I'm not big on shopping, compared to any other 21 year female. I've restrained from going to Ikea because a) I want to buy everything, b) I cant. So, I only go when I need something. So we went to Ikea with the intention of buying a cheap couch. HA! About 45 minutes of discussing pros and cons about the two couches we wanna buy, we decide to buy chairs! I'll post the pics tonight. The good thing, is because the chairs were cheapers we could also buy a coffe table, a closet, stools for our kitchen table (different sizes- we didnt know!), shoe rack (7 bucks!), a mirror, and i cant remember what else. Our apartment is finally finished! :) Soo happy!
Ikea es el mejor lugar para hacer shopping. Es una tienda gigantesca que venden todo lo que necesitas para tu casa/apt. Yo no me vuelvo loca por hacer shopping, solo compro cuando necesito... Todd y yo necesitabamos un sofa, entonces ayer fuimos para Ikea a comprar un sofa barato. JA! Despues de 45 minutos de discutir las ventajas y desventajas de los 2 sofas que comparabamos, decidimos comprar sillas. Son unas sillas super comodas!, monto las fotos esta noche. Lo bueno es que porq las sillas eran tan baratas pudimos comprar tambien mesita para la sala, un closet (pequeno), sillas para la mesa de la cocina, una broma para poner zapatos (7 dolares), un espejo y bueno el resto lo muestro luego..... :) demasiado bien! 14 May and i get to stay.../ y me quedo!Yeah, after a week of rushing to lawyers and doing all sorts of magic, I get to stay in the country, at least until the paperwork is over. Thanks to everyone that helped!!! :) Y me quedo! despues de muchisimas visitas a nuestro abogado, papeleo y magia me puedo quedar, por lo menos mientras la aplicacion se procesa. Gracias a todos los que ayudaron!!! |
